New Alliances Retreat features Jonathan Haidt and Roland Freyer
For several months, I’ve been part of a planning committee for a retreat featuring heterodox thought leaders taking place next week in Chinatown on June 7 and 8. The private retreat will gather representatives from communities identified as Asian, Jewish, and Black. Even with the many distinctions among the groups, and even within them, we’re coming together to explore civic and civil issues and to align together on behalf of liberal values and against rising tides of illiberalism from the extremes of the political spectrum.
