A Holiday Wish

'Tis the season. On this Christmas Day and in this season of Kwanzaa and Hanukkah, we hope you, whether alone or with family, find peace, joy and blessings, in your own sweet way.

By the time you read this, we will have 11 family members from Boston, Michigan, Barbados and Fairfield County gathered at our home in Connecticut. In addition to sharing gifts in the spirit of generosity and gratitude, we’ll be eating the traditional American dishes of turkey and stuffing, candied yams, and mac and cheese, as well as some Caribbean delights: sausage rolls, sweet coconut bread, and black steam pudding with custard.

This is the time of year when reflection, introspection, and an overall evaluation of where we are and how we are dealing with life—it’s revelations, challenges and expectations—takes center stage and propels us into the New Year.

We’ve shared quite a bit of our perspective on jazz and leadership in the past two months. Your time and attention are precious resources, so thank you for reading, commenting, and even forwarding our posts to others. So much of what we’ve shared is also applicable to our personal lives, to strengthen and nurture relationships with those closest to us.

We’re going to focus on holiday and family time for the remainder of the year, so we’ll continue our weekly posts in the New Year.

May health and prosperity be yours in abundance.

Warm wishes,

Greg & Jewel
