2022: What Choice Will You Make?

Happy New Year to all readers of the Tune In To Leadership blog. What does the New Year look like to you? What questions will you ask and what choices, as leaders, will you make? For some, making a clean break from the past year feels right.

But to do so will require a leap into uncertainty, which, in our environment of rigid mindsets and deepening polarization, is a risky proposition. Yet as leaders we have the imperative to look and leap forward.

With remembrance of the losses of 2021, from a resurgent pandemic to rising rates of suicide and violent crime (including the villainous violence at the U.S. Capitol a year ago), it’s tough to clearly see the road ahead.

But political headlines in legacy media is not the full measure of leadership. No matter what, the question remains: what will each of us do to grow, learn, collaborate, and exercise wise judgment this year?

Our intention at the Jazz Leadership Project is to continue a trend of upward success that we experienced last year. We achieved growth and expansion despite the headlines, which, truth be told, point to the lowest common denominator of a dying system of extraction and exploitation.

In the areas of your life and business that truly matter, we wish you a trajectory of ever-increasing creativity and improvisational mastery to meet all inevitable challenges with resilient skill and generative soul.

May 2022 be your best year yet.
